Hello everyone,
I am trying to import an mp3 into audacity (which I had burned off of a cd by using iTunes) and am getting an error message. I go to "File" and then to "Import/Export" and I get a message which says that Audacity recognizes the type of file I am importing and that Importers supposedly supporting such files are MP3 files and FFmpeg-compatible files. However, it states, none of these importers understood this file format. I have tried to import my mp3 file multiple times onto my Audacity 1.3 beta and keep getting this same message. I don't know what to do about this and it's very frustrating!!! Can anyone out there offer me help of any kind? If so, I would appreciate it very much!!
Sincerely,
Magician1983

Re: Import difficulty
I would recommend that you rip a WAV file from the CD with iTunes (you can modify your iTunes import settings to do this). WAV is an uncompressed format and will give you much better audio quality.
