Interesting problem

Hello!
I use Audacity, currently the 1.30 beta on Windows Seven to record audio from a radio who is listening to a simple transmitter, and this is an AM low power broadcast. The recorded wave file is perfect.

However for further analysis I normally submit the file to a program running on Agilent's VEE development system. That uses the waveread Matlab script function to read the wave and translate it into an appropriate array. It would then be displayed using an appropriate object. (It normally resembles the same screen we see on oscilloscopes everywhere.) That array according to the program must be limited to 255 elements. Otherwise it creates an error.

Does the group have any suggestions?

Incidentally the program describe above is at version 9.21. When the runtime for Matlab was introduced to Agilent's VEE 7.5 or 7.51 or 7.52, I was able to import an entire file which at that time was about 5K, and as it happens the array was also about that in size. Also with their 8.0 release as well. It means to me that something did change, which isn't relevant here.

The current Audacity Beta is 1.3.12 - assuming you mean you have 1.3.0, please upgrade:

What type of WAV are you exporting from Audacity? PCM WAV files are usually MB or GB in size.
