I am using the beta version of Audacity with windows vista on my Toshiba Satellite and I only seem to have the option of recording in mono. How do I switch it to stereo?
A Screenshot is attached showing that I don't have a stereo option.
I am taping from a cassette deck to a Behringer U-Control uca202 interface into my microphone jack on my laptop.

You shouldn't have any analog audio connections to the computer. The UCA202 is a USB device and should be listed like that in Windows Control Panels. It is a stereo device. The analog Mic-In of the laptop is mono.

The "Primary Sound Capture"
may be OK, but only if the UCA-202 is set as the default recording device in the
Windows Control Panel.
If it is not set as the default recording device then you need to select the USB option for the Recording device in Audacity Preferences.
Also, Vista and Win 7 often assume that any USB audio device is a mono microphone, so it is often necessary to go into the Windows Control Panel and set the USB audio device as a stereo Line-in device. The "Quality" settings for the UCA-202 in the Windows Control Panel should be set to "44100 Hz CD Quality stereo".
