Cannot record in stereo

I am trying to record in stereo, tape to cd. My stereo tape recorder is connected to Behringer UCA-202 (RCA outputs to inputs), which is connected to laptop via USB. I have tried the Audacity Record settings but all I get is a one (1) channel, even when I select 2 Channel stereo. When I monitor with earhones thru the UCA202, it comes thru as stereo, BEAUTIFULLY, but as I said before, comes thru only 1 channel9nn-stereo) . Suggestions appreciated. Thanks!!

My guess is that you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7 and the UCA-202 is set to mono in the Windows Control Panel
