Need assistance on settings
I am new to this so please bear with me. I want to transer stereo reel to reel tapes to cd. Here's what I am using: Sony Stereo Tape Recorder, Acer Laptop (using Vista Home Basic), and Behringer 202 Interface. The recorder L&R Output connects to L&R Input of the 202 Interface, and the Interface is connected to my laptop with USB cable. Under Devices (settings) there are 3 catagories -Interface, Playback, and Record. What settings should I use in these 3 catagories? I have tried everything and cannot get it record or playback. Oh, 1 more question: When I hooked up the interface to my laptop ,should'nt the laptop acknowledge/recognize the new hardware?? (It's not.........................maybe because there's no installation and, no drivers required?) Please advise. Thank You!!
