Hi all,

basically the topic says it all; on Vista Home Premium ( Acer 6930G), with Realtek sound drivers, the mixer properly set up ( so I believe), yet when in Audacity I set the Recording Device to be the Realtek HD stereo mixer, press Record and then press Play in Winamp, Audacity does not seem to read anything from the card; I have looked everywhere and what most people are bothered with is different from my problem, no I have no idea which way to go further... Can anybody help me with this?

I assume then that in the "Recording" tab of "Sound" in the Windows Control Panel you have Stereo Mix enabled. It shouldn't be necessary, but have you right-clicked over Stereo Mix and made it "Default Device" and then restarted Audacity?

Have you looked in the Realtek Control Panel to see if Stereo Mix has to be enabled or unmuted as per the green box here?

Stereo Mix enabled, no 'default Device' option available though.. No muting active.. Everything seems to be able set up correctly, however Audacity seems to accept the Mic input only ... Is there anything else to try?
