audio card

can any body help me,because im recording sa voice track but it seem its has a noise in a signal?does it need to upgrade my audiocard?what is the basic requirement for the audio card in order to eliminates the noise for recording richt now im using my XP destop windows?

If you are using a computer microphone plugged into the microphone socket, the sound quality is unlikely to be very good. A better microphone plugged into a mixing desk (mixing console) or microphone pre amp, and then plugged into the "Line in" socket will be much better.
