Hi,
I was working on a project and my anti-virus restarted my computer before I got a chance to save it. The project itself had been finished and relatively untouched for at least 10 minutes before the restart. Once the restart started I freaked out and tried to quickly save the file. Audacity closed itself just as the save as. . . box opened. After the restart I re-opened audacity hoping it would prompt me to recover the file, it did not. I checked the temp folder for the auto-save and it isn't there either. I was wondering if there is any way to recover this file, and if its impossible, I'd at least like to know why audacity didn't autosave it. Thanks!

Re: Help with File Recovery
Your virus program takes your computer away from you any time it feels like it? Is it time for a new virus program?I was working on a project and my anti-virus restarted my computer before I got a chance to save it.
AutoSave is a Feature Request, not a working product. We recommend periodic manual Save As with different Project names through the course of your editing against the time your computer becomes unresponsive. At the end of editing, Export As WAV to get a stand-alone sound file that you can save to backup media.
