Audacity Forum

So I have this Toshiba Laptop that only has one recording and playback option... They are Conexant CX20671 SmartAudio HD and of course it doesnt record anything. I've tried literally everything. Ive searched for hidden devices, tried recording in Windos Recorder (also without any sound) and tried different versions of audacity. So should I just give up, or am I missing something?
