Audacity 1.3.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.

The final version of Audacity for Windows 98/ME is the legacy 2.0.0 version.

Hi,

I have a Dell Studio XPS8100 computer. I am trying to record some audio from a DVD. I cannot record because Audacity cannot find any devices to choose from. Any ideas?

You would probably get better sound quality if you digitally rip the audio from the DVD rather than recording it.

Re. getting Audacity to work, which version of Windows are you using?
If you're using Vista or Windows 7, see here for how to enable recording/playback devices.
