Hi. I'm new here... I'm having problems when I record: The music I'm recording to ( bass, drums and vocals ) is leaking into the track where I'm recording my guitar...
What am I doing wrong?
Thanx in advance
Ralle

Which version of Audacity are you using (Help menu > About Audacity)
What Operating System are you using?
Are you listening through headphones or speakers?
What sort of microphone are you using?

I'm using 1.3 Beta... I'm recording thrue a mixer table with a sm58... Windows XP... Tapping the out put from the computor thrue another mixer/stereospeakers.
Re: Playback leacking into recording track
Perhaps the microphone is picking up the sound from the speakers. Try turning the speakers off and using headphones.

Re: Playback leacking into recording track
No, it's not that... When the track with music is running and I'm about to record another track upon that, the first musictrack is recorded into the new track... like an echo loop...
It's not the mic, it's the same when I listen with the headphones...
Re: Playback leacking into recording track
Look at the bottom of the Transport menu and ensure that "Software Playthrough" is switched off.
Check your sound card settings and ensure that your sound card is set to record from the "Line in" (assuming that is what you are using) and not from "Stereo Mix" or "What U Hear".
Try recording with the Line out disconnected from the mixer - does it still record an "echo"?
