Tool for taking out gaps in sound?

Post by Zero Emissions » Mon Jan 03, 2011 4:23 pm

Hello there,
Is there a tool for automatically removing any gaps in sound in my recordings? At the moment I have to trawl through hours of recordings to manually remove any gaps (these are fairly frequent as Im recording Internet radio).

Thanks,

Effect menu > Truncate Silence.
You cannot completely remove a silence with this tool, but you can truncate it down to 1 millisecond (0.001 second)
If the silences are long, you may need to run the tool several times.

The maximum "Silence Compression" is 20:1
The minimum "Min Silence Duration" is 1 millisecond.
