Lost Project

Hi, I must be doing something wrong. I have no trouble creating a project, recording my LP. removing clicks or splitting file into tracks and naming them. I can play the project on Audacity and it sounds fine. I'd like to send the file as a WAV file so I can transfer it to a CD. I select "export multiple" - split files based on labels, name files using label/track name and try to export it to "Media Player" as a WAV file so I can burn a CD. I enter all the title, artist, genre etc for all tracks, select enter and after a few seconds I see a window correctly listing all the tracks that I have recorded. When I go to Media Player I can't find any of it. Is it supposed to show up in the library looking like the CDs that I've recorded to Media Player ? If so, I'm screwing up here somewhere.

Audacity doesn't "Export WAV files to Windows Media Player" - rather it exports a set of WAV files to a location in your Windows file structure to a location that you select at the time of export. You can then Use WMP to access these files from wherever you told Audacity to put them.

And BTW there are much better CD burners than Windows Media Player, some of which are free and some cost (all the PCs that I've bought that have CD drives have come pre-loaded with decent burner s/w, yours mat too).
