Low volume on exports

Hi, i've been having this odd problem now and i cant seem to find a way around it.

when i try to export a project, be it the actual project im doing, or some random mic imput i do just to test... all i get is a VERY low volume file, tried every format and they result on the same problem.

trying to amplify just kills the audio quality in the project and when exported its just the same low volume output.

all i found on this board is this thread http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=7572 but its very old, and no real solution was posted. also, doing an Amp is not a real solution since while on the project the volume is perfect.

using 1.3.12-beta (Unicode) on Win7 ATM

any ideas?

Windows 7 has volume controls for each running audio application. If the volume in Audacity is much louder than in other applications it is probably because the volume is set much louder for Audacity. The volume controls for each audio application can be found by clicking on the "Volume" icon near the Time/Date (bottom right corner of the desktop).
You probably have Audacity set too loud and/or other applications set too quiet.

The "Amplify" effect in audacity does what it says on the tin. It makes the selected audio louder (or quieter). If you use the default settings it will amplify the selected audio so that it is as loud as possible without causing distortion.

its not a problem on the application, while working on the proyect the sound is fine, its when i export that the volume seems to be set to zero, even if i amp it.
