Memorex turntable & Win 7 help

Hello,
First off I have a Memorex USB Turntable Model #2650MM0 and I am using Windows 7 Home Premium on an HP pavilion dv7 notebook x64 based and Audacity 1.3.10-beta.
I got my turntable last xmas and i had to tweak it at first and then everything has worked perfectly until now. I'm not sure if it was after the last windows update or anything. I have tried everything in the Stickies that have been suggested and I have no idea what to do.
When I try to record a record my turntable no longer is listed in preferences in Audacity or in Recording devices in the sound section of my computer hardware. I am right next to the turntable so I can hear it playing the record but no sound is going in to my computer. I have tried every different combination of settings in preferences and sound. Now my volume bar also pops up for no reason and adjusts itself and the volume in Audacity.
I would just like it to work again so if you have any suggestions I am more than willing to try. Let me know if you also need anymore information that you didn't get from the Epic I just wrote.
Thanks ;)

First thing is to update Audacity. The current version is 1.3.12 and it fixes a couple of important bugs in the 1.3.10 version (this does not relate to this particular problem).

Re. the USB not being recognised.
The USB device must be connected and recognised by Windows before you open Audacity.
Close down other applications, and in particular ensure that Skype or similar applications are completely closed and not running in the background.

When you open Audacity, go to:
"Edit menu > Preferences > Devices" and ensure that the USB device is selected as the Recording device.
Your normal sound card should be selected as the Playback device.

I took your advice and downloaded the newest beta. I now see the problem is the turntable is not listed as a device. I'm just not sure as to where it went. I never deleted it and it recognized it before. I went to the memorex website but their support is very lacking and the turntable was not listed in any of the products or the discontinued products. I guess i need to find a device driver but I'm not sure where to look now. I just don't understand how it worked and now it doesn't. Any more advice would be appreciated.
Thanks :)

Check that everything is connected and reboot.
Wait for the computer to completely boot up before you do anything.
Then follow the instructions here to open up "Sounds" in the Windows Control Panel and make the USB device visible and enabled.

I did that and I updated the Sound drivers and have the device's visible but mine is still not showing up as a device at all. My laptop is not recognizing it as anything...

Look in the Notification area (near the time/date) for an icon to "Safely Remove Hardware".
Click on the icon and a list of attached devices should be shown - is the USB turntable listed?

If not, check all of your cables and try a different USB port. Don't use a USB hub, connect directly to the computer.
If the device is still not recognised, can you try connecting to another computer?
