Please, next time post your question in the forums, you'll probably get a much quicker reply to your question and all others can learn from it too.SimoneDevereux wrote:Can anyone help please? It's probably something really simple but I'm a new user and it's driving me mad trying to find an answer. Here's the problem:
Audacity is not recognising a pause/silence when playing back my voice recording. I have tried reducing the playback speed to it's minimum but that doesn't work. I have also tried lengthening the actual pause/silence when I'm recording my voice script - but to no avail - Audacity does not seem to like silences. This is easily editible I know by inserting a silence but somethings not right.
I am running Windows 7 Home Premium Edition 64-bit and Audacity 1.3 beta version.
Any help gratefully received
I'm not sure if I understand what your problem is... When you record your voice the silent moments are not recorded? Is it that? Do you have Sound Activated Recording on? If so try turning it off (Transport Menu -> Sound Activated Recording).
