Error when encoding to MP3

I'm not sure why this is happening but here's what I'm doing:

1. I try exporting my project as an mp3 file
2. It says I need a higher version of Lame.dll and so I download it and move it into my audacity folder
3. I then select it as the file location for Lame.dll
4. After that I try saving again and it still says I need the latest version of Lame.dll.

I have tried downloading and attempting the same process with other versions, right now I attempted it on v4.0 and v3.98.3 that I noticed was the most popular choice. I still get the error that I need a higher version. I have also tried restarting Audacity and attempting it again, but still no luck. I also erased all older versions of Audacity and the Lame encoder.

It's not just a higher version. Audacity needs to see a customized version of lame appropriate to the Audacity version.

http://audacityteam.org/download/

Get the lame from the same place you got the Audacity download.

I'm not sure where to go, I downloaded the newer version of audacity from another site because I couldn't navigate easily around that(I don't think it had a download for lame.dll). Had no idea where to download it. So what lame.dll do I need for Audacity 1.3x(Beta)? I see people using 3.98.3 but as I stated I already tried that.

Nevermind I took a download from the FAQ, thanks for helping me though.
