Specifying loop points and note data in an AIFF file?

Post by Thunderbolt1000T » Wed Nov 17, 2010 4:17 am

I have an electronic keyboard that can load samples in WAV or AIFF format. I want to make my samples on my Yamaha digital recorder and edit them in Audacity. I want to save them as AIFF files, so that I can specify loop points, note data, etc. Is there any way to do this in Audacity?

The short answer is that Audacity does not support loop points.
The longer answer is that there is more than one type of AIFF file. There's a lot of information about AIFF in this Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audio_Inte ... ile_Format
