Audacity 1.3.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.

The final version of Audacity for Windows 98/ME is the legacy 2.0.0 version.

Also, how would I post the sound on here? I'm having a little trouble figuring that out.

Short WAV files (up to 1 MB) can be uploaded directly to the forum using "Upload Attachment" (see the tab below the message composition box).

Probably only need one sample unless Sound Recorder gives significantly different results to Audacity.

It's a safe bet you will never give us too much information and detail. We're building your system in our heads as we go and the more you tell us, the better. Don't edit, either. Seemingly wacky and non-valuable details have proven to be helpful.

My joke is the doctor's "Door Knob Moment." The patient makes it through an entire physical workup and as he's leaving (and his hand is on the doorknob) he turns and says, "I throw up blood every night at 8PM. Is that important?"

It might be.

Okay, so I hope I'm not driving you guys crazy but when I go to upload the files it says that file .aup is not allowed and file .wav is not allowed.

We don't want an AUP file - that is just a part of an Audacity project and we will not be able to play it.
See here for a full explanation (this is very important) http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/File_Management_Tips

WAV files may be uploaded provided that they are less than 1 MB.
This does not mean that you can change the name of a file to something with ".WAV" on the end. To make a real WAV file you must "Export" from Audacity in WAV format.
Avoid using any special characters in the file name - stick to letters, numbers, hyphen and underscore.
