Audacity 1.3 Beta (Unicode), Windows XP.
I've now saved several projects in 1.3 that then refused to open in 1.3. A dialog patiently informs me that I am using 1.2, even though I think I deleted it a while back. Could be wrong about that. It tells me that I need to upgrade to 1.3 even though that's what I'm trying to open it with.
Put simply,
lolwut?
Any advice?
1.3 refuses to open files saved with 1.3.

Re: 1.3 refuses to open files saved with 1.3.
Are you clicking on the .aup file in Windows Explorer to open it?
If you do that, and you have 1.2 on your machine, (even if you also have 1.3), it will try to open it in 1.2 because the .aup file extension is associated with 1.2 in the Windows registry.
The registry entries can be deleted, BUT DON'T GO EDITING THE REGISTRY UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING. You can very easily make your computer inoperable. There are instructions on how to do it, but I can't find them just now ...
The work-around is to launch Audacity 1.3 and open the project from the File menu.
