xoxos outdoorverb

Hello to all. I have downloaded outdoorverb from xoxos but not finding it in Audacity effects. I have attempted to follow the directions for moving it to the right Audacity folder and the program is in the effects folder but not listed in the effects area of the program. Help.

Do you mean that you put the VST effect extracted from the zip file into the Audacity plug-ins folder? Or that you put it into one of the system locations?

Also, you need to go to the Effects panel of Preferences http://manual.audacityteam.org/index.ph ... references , check "Rescan VST effects next time Audacity is started", exit Audacity then start Audacity again, for Audacity to pick up new VST effects you have added to the plug-ins folder.

Hello Bill and thank you for your reply. I'm new to all of this so I apologize for something that should be easy and for my lack of correct terminology. I have changed the setting as you suggested above however I still do not have the plug in. Rather than tell you all the wrong steps I've made because I don't know what I am doing, it might be better to direct me to step by step directions on what to do once I have the plug in downloaded to my desktop. I've tried opening the outdoorverb folder and copying the outdoorverb.dll file to the plugin folder. When I open the plugin folder, I can see the file but I've made mistakes somewhere because it isn't in the menu of the effects.

My understanding is that you've followed the correct steps, but I'm a Mac guy so we'll have to wait for one of the Windows forum elves to drop by for more in-depth debugging of your problem.
