Hello,
I've been using Audacity 1.3.4 with XP for a while, and as far as I can remember, it identified the available audio recording devices automatically. (Examples: Microsoft Sound Mapper - Input, or Crystal Soundfusion). However, with my new (Vista-equipped) computer, there are no devices showing in the Recording portion of the I/O Preferences section, and no recording-device dropdown window showing in the toolbar. On the other hand, the Playback portion shows Microsoft Sound Mapper,Realtek speakers, and Realtek digital audio.
I'd like to get the recording option working! Any help would be appreciated. The computer is a HP m8300f Medio Centre PC running Vista Home Premium.
