Plug Ins not showing up in Effects Menu?

I'm sorry I'm new and I'm not sure if posting this question in the right place but I wasn't sure where to post plug in issues?

I have Windows 7 and Audacity version 1.3 Beta

Every time I open Audacity it automatically searches for new plug ins before launching but the plug ins never actually show up in the Effects tab? It seems to have automatically located and added many plug ins to the Effect menu- Amplify, Auto Duck, Bass Boost etc. but this other entire folder of plug ins that it repeatedly scans upon launching- Alias, All Bass, Am Pitch shift etc. it can't seem to also add these additional plug ins to the effects menu?
I would like to have access to these additional plug ins too and not have it repeatedly scan for plug ins every time I open Audacity. I down loaded the 90 LADSPA plug ins and Nyquist plug ins but I only have a total of 37 plug ins in my Effects menu .

Any assistance would be much appreciated.
Thank you!

The Windows version of the 90 plug-in LADSPA set is a .EXE file.
To install the plug-ins you need to run the .exe file.
The oficial download link is on this page: http://audacityteam.org/download/plugins

Audacity 1.3.12 scans for VST plug-ins. Are you using or wanting to use any VST plug-ins?
For Audacity 1.3.12 do not install the VST enabler - it is not required and can cause conflicts.

Not all VST plug-ins are supported - in particular Audacity does not support VSTi (VST instruments). There is a list of VST plug-ins that are known to work with Audacity: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php? ... T_Plug-ins

If you are not using VST plug-ins you can disable the scanning by disabling support for VST in "Edit menu > Preferences > Effects".

Thank you Steve! I had already down loaded the plugin's from the offical link you mentioned previously, these are the plug in's which many of them although down loaded under plug ins do not show up under my Effects tab. I am getting all the plugins into Audacity by manually moving each plug in from one folder to another as I had them saved in files marked as (plug in's one and plug in's two) I think I have figured it out somewhat and it's all under control now by moving each one manually! Thanks again for your help!
