Instrumental Records onto Vocal Track as well..

Post by sharpie88 » Sat Oct 02, 2010 6:40 pm

hey all,

just upgraded to the 1.3 beta and i'm experiencing this problem. i'll have the instrumental track on top and when i record my vocals, the instrumental also records onto the vocal track. therefore, i do not have a track that is only the vocals, but a combination of both the instrumental AND the vocals, so i cant even mix down my vocals since they're not a capella. i've had this problem with 1.2, and i tried fixing it, but i can't seem to get it. anyone else have this problem?
also, i do not have this proble when recording directly onto the mic that embedded into my computer (for freestyling/messing around) but when i plug in my condenser mic, the problem persists. :x

any help is appreciated! thanks so much

You're not recording your voice. You're recording "Mix-Out" or "Stereo-Mix" instead which captures all the sound the computer is making. That's where the double recordings come from.

This is the setting you need to record internet audio and you can't do both. You need to reset the Windows Control Panels between jobs.

There is no tutorial to stop recording internet audio, so you need to follow these instructions backwards:
