Hello everyone,
I am having a bit of a problem with Audacity. Every time I start recording audio, after about ten seconds or so, the previously recorded audio all disappears. I assume that it's being deleted, and there is a problem with the temporary files, but am not sure where to proceed from here. Any help would be much appreciated. For reference, I am using Windows 7 and have had this problem with both 1.2 and 1.3. Thanks.

Re: Deleting Temporary Files
Forget Audacity 1.2, it's known to have problems on Windows 7 and Vista. The version that you should be using is 1.3.12 (the "12" is important - look in the Audacity "Help menu > About Audacity" to check you have the correct version).
Tell us a bit about your set-up. How much free disk space? How much RAM? ...
Then about what you are doing - recording from a microphone?
If I were to reproduce the problem, what hardware would I need and what steps would I need to take?
