Hi,
I have recorded an audio clip but when i play it back or export to wav it has no sound. I can see the sound wave of the recording but it is producing no sound. It is only doing it for this clip alone. I have used it before and after this incident so it is an isolated event.
Please Help,
Thank you

If you are playing an Audacity Project (AUP file), then you need to keep all the original sound files you used in the show. You can't "clean up" the files, move them, rename them, or delete them. You can only do that after you Export As WAV or other sound format.
Audacity doesn't pull music inside itself for editing. It uses the original sound files again and again and again. Move one of those file and there will be a hole in your show.
You can change that in Audacity Preferences, but to rescue this show, you need to put that file back where it was.

Hi, I am having a similar problem: wave is visible, but produces no sound. However, when I export it as MP3 and play it, I can hear it - just not in audacity.

Edit menu > Preferences > Devices
Set the playback device to match your sound card.
