I just upgraded from Vista to Windows 7. I am using the latest Audacities beta 1.3.12. I have the USB cable from the ION turntable connected to the PC. I cannot hear any sound. Also, when I put the needle on the record. it records waves at the leader, but once the music starts I see a solid bar. Can anyone help me? thank you.

I'm repeating the reply I sent to you after you e-mailed our feedback address:
I suggest you read the correct setup for USB turntables on the Wiki:
http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/USB_turntables#setup

Turning on "Software playthrough", plus setting the Audacity Playback Device to your inbuilt sound device should solve the playback problem.

The recording problem sounds as if you have your input level and/or output level from the turntable far too loud. See:
http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/USB_turntables#loud

Also read this to ensure you record in stereo if desired:

Note I removed your e-mail address from your post because that might make it visible to spammers.
