Beta 1.3.12 installs without the 'Input' opt Toolbar, (no line in options available).
Only getting a 'Master' 0pt to the right of Mic/input slider.
I've uninstalled/reinstalled many x,s. No change
Windows 7 Home Prem syst
Same dnld installs fine on other lapetop w/XP

Thanks for your reply. Just prior to cking this forum for a reply to my request, I had set the USB Input Device as the Default Device via the control panel.
Foolish of me to assume that Audacity would look & function exactly the same in Windows 7 as in XP.
The laptop w/XP os has a 'line in' input, making the recording process much simpler. I didn't have to do anything other than install Audacity & record.
The USB sound card requires some tech skills/terminology 101 that I'm learning.
