How do you fade music at the start of a project

Post by keblack » Tue Sep 07, 2010 4:29 pm

Hi, I have a background music clip that I want to add at the beginning of an audio I created in audacity. I was able to push it to the start, but how do you fade the music so it is regular volume for 15 seconds or so and then gets lower until I start speaking ?

Thanks.

One method that you could use is the Envelope tool: http://manual.audacityteam.org/index.ph ... elope_Tool
Hopefully your music and vocals will be on different tracks so that you can overlap them like in a professional show.
