Dear Audacity Forum Members,
I need to create a copy of a recording, and adjust the pitch to sound like children's voices repeating after the Sheikh who is teaching Qur'anic recitation. I know how to change the pitch - but I don't know what key to use or the range.
An example of what I am trying to replicate is here:

And here is the flac audio that I will use to create a simulated version of children repeating after the Sheikh for each ayah/verse, in the same style as above:

Any advice would be appreciated to help me understand which key / tone I need to use.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
ANMB

Re: Adjusting Pitch to Sound Like Children's Voices
Most people fail to move voices very far. You can't shift more than one or two piano notes before human voices start to sound science-fictiony and odd. You can't go between man and woman or between anybody and a professional announcer. Another common one is adult to children and back.
The problem is that pitch has to change without affecting sibilants and plosives. Those are the same for everybody, announcing voice or not.
Someone posted about expensive software packages that can do a semi-respectable job, but those are pro applications.
I went searching and I can't find it quickly.
