Cannot detect effects inf the plug-ins folder

Post by huaca » Wed Aug 18, 2010 11:57 am

I have recently installed Audacity 1.3.12 Beta (unicode) on Windos 7 to digitallize some old cassetes tapes.

The problem is that in my <Effect> menu don't appear some effects I need and, I understand, should be there by default as: Amplify, high pass filter, etc. The only effects appearing in my menu are: Fade in, Fade out, Leveller, Noise removal, Normalize, and Trucate silence.

Not whithstanding, I can see 16 effects files (*.ny files) in my plug-ins folder:
C:Program Files (x86)Audacity 1.3 Beta (Unicode)Plug-Ins.

Any help to get Audacity recognising the plug-ins would be appreciated.

Yours - Huaca

Go to "Edit menu > Preferences > Interface" and ensure that "CleanSpeech Mode" is not selected.
