Which is fully patched as of last week-ending 14th Aug 2010. Now I have downloaded & installed the correct Lame download. I've followed the troubleshooting tips about making sure there are no other versions in places they shouldn't. I moved to the beta because the last stable release also had this issue (I un-installed that version before installing the beta just in case). I'm not getting an error msg as such just the preference settings say it can't find it even when I point right at it & the same thing when I come to export multiple mp3 files from the project. If it worked it would be great. I have had to resort to using Steinbergs' Clean5 from circa 2004 with the Fraunhofer codecs! But this is an extra process as I have to export WAV files & lose the metadata. Should there be path setting somewhere in Windows environment (see how I clutch at straws!)?
If this can be resolved it would be great as it seems to affect quite a lot of users.

Many thanks for that it's now working. I noticed this was somewhat different to the executable on the site, which goes through an install suite but doesn't put it in the place those instructions said & there was no .def (definitions?) file for the audacity to work with. But all fixed now & I can press on with my project.
