Help Recording Stereo Track

Post by m3talgu1tar1st » Fri Aug 13, 2010 5:42 am

Hi, I've been trying to record a stereo track with Audacity 1.3.12 Beta, using a Peavey PV6 USB mixer. Using windows xp, there's an option in the drop down box for recording 2 channels, (stereo), but on my drummer's laptop, there is no stereo option available. I'm not sure if this is a problem with his computer or Audacity itself. Thanks.

To begin with, assuming the drummer's laptop is on Windows Vista or 7, check these instructions to make sure the default format of the mixer is set to stereo in "Sound" in the Windows Control Panel.

Thanks. I'll have to give this a try next time I'm over at his house. :)
