Hi guys. I have a problem when trying to record something in audacity. Im totally bemused by it because yesterday i recorded about half a dozen vinyls without problem. Today, I turned on my PC (not a single thing has been changed) I open audacity and click record and im getting some kind of interference thats preventing me from recording anything. Ive uploaded a small clip > please lick to listen
Ive tried everything I can think of to fix it, but failed. I just cant understand it because yesterday it was fine and not a single thing has been changed. The interference starts as soon as i press the record button (the turntable not even moving - so it cant be coming from that) Ive tried to look for solutions on the net, but found answers that say my sound card or other hardware might need updating or may not be compatible, but that cant be right because yesterday everything was working perfectly. If any1 could offer any suggestion as to what the problem might be and how to fix it, it would be much appreciated
Thanks in advance

Is it a USB turntable? It sounds like that. If you carry on and play an LP, does it record the LP and the noise, or only noise? Try these tips.
