Disk At Once (as opposed to TAO - Track At Once). Some CD burners have it and some don't but it is required for true "gapless" CD burning.
Yes, Disk At Once. I have both options, but I don't think I've ever used the other one. I have a CD/DVD burner and a separate "player" in my computer. These files were on my hard drive, (exported as WAVs after I separated the tracks with title markers). I drag/dropped them into the software and then burned an "extended play" 90 min CD-R in one go at 2x speed (even though the machine always offers to do it MUCH faster).

Re: Click Removal Tool
I wanted to report that I am currecntly working on a LP jazz album (Chico Hamilton Quintet featuring Buddy Collette) from 1955 and the "Click Removal Tool", in Audacity, is working wonders! My current setting for this album is: Threshold set at 175 and Spike Width set at 20.

Re: Click Removal Tool
My problem is different. I seem to have somehow *added* clicks with audacity.
I had a "clean" audio of a live concert. It was one huge file. I separated it into individual songs - didn't really do any editing at all, merely added "labels" (song titles) at various points during applause for one song, just before the intro for the next. I "selected" the whole thing and "exported multiples" as WAVs. When I burned a CD (disc at once) without the usual 2 second gap between songs I found I could hear a "click" at the point where inserted the label. This click is not on the original audio. I have done things like this before, but this is the first time I've encountered such a problem. I don't know how to keep the separate tracks but eliminate the clicks at my edit points.
Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone have a solution???

Re: Click Removal Tool
Do you still have the long (not split) version?

Re: Click Removal Tool
Yes, and it sounds fine - NO "clicks"
Re: Click Removal Tool
Try splitting it up again, but this time, set your labels on CDDA frame boundaries.
To do this, on the Selection Toolbar, click on the little black arrow that is on the right hand side of one of the time display boxes and sect "CDDA frames (75fps)"
Then select the "Snap To" check-box that is to the left of the time boxes.
To set new markers, click on the track at the position that you want the marker and press Ctrl+B.
The markers (and thus the exported audio clips) will then be aligned with what will be the frame boundaries on the CD. This should make them compatible with CD burning programs that cannot automatically adjust for frame boundaries.
Alternative Method (may be simpler)
Make the CD from the original long (not split) file and use a "cue sheet" that marks the starting times of each CD track.

Re: Click Removal Tool
Thanks for the information. That sounds better than anything else that's been mentioned. I'll try it over the weekend.
