1.3.12 beta crashes

I've had no problems with 1.2...everything worked fine. Removed it completely and downloaded 1.3.12 for the new features. This machine runs XP and has two soundcards...Realtek on the motherboard and a Sound Blaster 512. I like to use the SB since it sounds better, but if the SB card is selected in the 1.3.12 preferences, Audacity will crash to bsod every time I click on the RECORD button.

See if you can get a later driver for Sound Blaster. 1.3.12 has a later version of the PortAudio Audio I/O interface so sometimes a driver update helps too.

Taking a look at the crash dump should give you more clue about the exact problem. If you are not sure where the dumps are:

-Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel
-Double-click System.
-Click the Advanced tab, and then click Settings under Startup and Recovery.
