Hi All
I got bloody yesterday, and used it today just to realised you can download the contents. I am in big trouble.
So, I am got audacity, but never copy sound in anyway to a computer
I am buying this type of cable below. I am new to this. is ok to use a earphone jack to USB to record sound from a dictaphone?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/USB-3-5mm-Audio-C ... 847wt_1137
I had to re-order a new dictaphoe that has usb capabilities now, but I need the content that i recorded today.
When i get that cable above, and connect the dictaphone via USB, how will the software know which sound to copy and from where?
Pleas help, I am really in a pickle today.
Cheers

Re: HELP HELP
Whatever cable you connect from the earphone of the dictaphone to the computer, it either has to connect to a recording device in the computer (such as the red mic port of your computer) or has to be a USB recording device itself so that Audacity will see it in the Devices Preferences as a recording device. I wouldn't buy the eBay item you link to unless the seller confirms you can record with it.
