Multiple Export chokes on a particular audio snippet

I have an Audacity Project File with an imported track and a label track. I have labeled 252 snippets within the file, and am trying to run an Export Multiple. In both Audacity 1.2.6 and 1.3.12 the multiple export has failed on one particular snippet with a "Cannot export audio to..." error. I have tried silencing that part of the recording, and am in the process of attempting to export the other 251 snippets with that piece removed from the project.

Whether or not the export succeeds is not important; it's not really my job to split the file. What I'm wondering is why Audacity would have such trouble exporting a particular label. The label text is, simply, "con", with no punctuation, so it can't be the more common form of this error.

Does anyone have any ideas? This has failed on three different machines running Windows XP, Vista, and 7.

"con" is an illegal file name on Windows.

Thanks, Steve. I knew it was just inexplicably weird that an audio snippet would cause the program to die like that.

(I independently discovered my error shortly after posting but forgot to delete the topic. Getting confirmation of my theory and proof of a responsive forum community was very good, though. :-) Thanks again! )
