I need Help with aduio???

Post by Araris » Sun Jul 04, 2010 6:51 pm

Sorry guys and gals I am a bit of a newb. I am having problems with the sound coming out of my headphones. I have a USB logitech headset hooked up to a computer that is running windows 7. I have used audacity to record an interview with these headphones, so I know that the mic works. the problem lies in the fact that whenever I want to hear sound out of the headphones themselves it always comes out of my laptop speakers. I know that the sound in my headphone works because I went to the control panel and tested them and they work fine, but whenever I am in audacity and I am listening to the interview that I recorded, the sound always comes out of the laptop speakers. This is a little annoying. Thanks in advance for all of your help.

In Audacity, go to "Edit menu > Preference > Devices"
What options are available in the "Playback > Device" section?
