I have Audacity 1.3 installed on my computer and I love it. However, the sound driver or something is screwy. Whenever I try to record something, particularly with the line in selected, I get this error:
Error while opening sound device. Please check the input device settings and the project sample rate.

I have recently installed windows 7 on my pc and am wondering if that is what caused it. I never had the issue while operating with vista. Any suggestions would be helpfull! Thanks!

If you still get problems after that, you may need to enable the inputs you want in the system mixer and possibly make the one you want to use default. Setting to default shouldn't be ncessary with good drivers. See the recording and playback tips on the same page.
