Hi there,

I am not very clued up on audacity so I have a few questions, I am Using a USB turntable to rip my vinyl collection And I got a manual and it told me how to set up the settings in audacity and on the computer and with this I had no problems.

My computer bust so I got another one and I tried myself to see if I could get the settings right but failed.
I can record my vinyl and they play in audacity but when I export the mp3 it has no sound, When It plays in audacity the sound quality is good but there is too much bass,

And on top of this during recording it suddenly starts to sound sounds like a jumping cd (I dont know how to put that last one properly).

Any help with these issues will be greatly appreciated as I have lost a lot ripping time.
Thanks

you can find most manuals online virtually all of them for new devices

check the docs and wiki here for usb TT set up info

export to wav
and use a good utility to convert to mp3 if you must

too much bass?? you can use the eq function to help that
but sounds more like you dont have riaa eq for vinyl in your usb TT
you can stil use eq to fix that but its more work

jumping CD?? sounds like a buffering problem
andor you need to defrag your hard disk
