Thanks, I begin to see the reasoning behind closing the window after working on one project and before starting another. I hadn't found that option in Edit > Preferences, and I think I'll follow the recommendation and just restart stuff for the new project. I wonder if the slight difference is due to the fact that I'm on Windows 7? I'll try this again next week and post if it happens again.
