deleting custom EQ settings
Only the EQ presets that came with audacity can be deleted and not the custom ones that I created. Why is that?

If you are on 1.3 Beta as you must be given your question, please post to the 1.3 Forum. I have moved your post here.bebop4me wrote:Only the EQ presets that came with audacity can be deleted and not the custom ones that I created. Why is that?
There is no reason you cannot delete a custom preset in the current 1.3.12 Beta - select it in the "Select curve" dropdown and hit "Delete". If you are not using 1.3.12, please upgrade.

Re: deleting custom EQ settings
I can't find the 1.3 forum. I am using the 1.3.12 version of audacity now and I cannot delete my custom settings. When I select the custom EQ that I made, the DELETE button is grayed out and has no function.
The delete button is only active when a preset EQ is selected.

This is the 1.3 forum (Gale has moved your post).bebop4me wrote:I can't find the 1.3 forum.
To find a particular forum section, click on the "Board Index" link near the top left of the page (just below the Audacity logo). That will take you here: http://forum.audacityteam.org/index.php
About half way down the page is the section "Audacity 1.3.x (Beta)"
The third subsection in "Audacity 1.3.x (beta)" is "Windows - Help for all users of Audacity 1.3.x (Beta) on Windows"
There is one special EQ setting called "custom" which is not a preset, but the current, unnamed setting. This setting is not permanently saved and there is no need to delete it (which is why you can't delete it). If you want to start a new setting from scratch, all you need to do is to reset the "custom" setting. The custom setting is reset by clicking on the button "Flatten".bebop4me wrote:When I select the custom EQ that I made, the DELETE button is grayed out and has no function.
