unable to open 1.3.4

I have downloaded version 1.3.4. When I attempt to open, an audacity icon shows at the bottom taskbar, but the program does not open. When I right-click the desktop icon on "open", I get a message that another version of audacity is already running. I had previously downloaded version 1.2.6 in another directory, but have uninstalled it befor loading 1.3.4.

What can I do to open 1.3.4?

Hi,
I am having the same problem here. I did manage to install 1.3.4 and was running it ok but then about 1/2 way through working on a project Audacity crashed and will not open. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it several time without any success. I am running windows XP Pro. i have since installed1.2 which works ok but my project will not open in this version.

Hi All,
I found and downloaded Audacity 1.3.3 and it launched OK. my project is able to open as well.....
Found a copy of 1.3.3 at this address:
