recordings of wav files do not play on some players

recordings of wav files do not play on some players
I import files through media player (windows 7), cut/paste/clip...then save back to media player. However, when burned to CD, these recordings sometimes do not play on some computers or players. Any ideas why this happens?

Are you burnind a music CD or a data CD - you beed to burn a music CD.
