Ok, so I can't save my projects on the Beta, it just says its saved on Audacity 1.2, and can't be opened.
Also, the vocal remover doesn't work too well, any help?

Audacity 1.3.x can open projects that have been created in Audacity 1.2.x, but Audacity 1.2.x does not support the format used by the newer 1.3.x version (because Audacity 1.3 uses features that are not present in Audacity 1.2).

"Vocal Removal" is very dependant on the source material - it can only remove sound that is panned dead centre in the stereo mix. On a lot of music, the main vocal is mainly panned dead centre, with other instruments panned to the sides. When this is true, Vocal removal will remove the portion of the vocal track that is dead centre. If there is any kind of stereo effect on the vocal (such as stereo reverb), that will not be removed. I've no idea how that could happen.
If the file was saved in Audacity 1.2.6 and you try to open it in Audacity 1.3.x, you will get a warning message, (saying that saving it in 1.3 will prevent it from being opened in 1.2), but if you click "Yes" it should still open.

I would do something in the Beta, and it said it was saved using the Beta, but I'm using 1.2, but I'm just opening the project saved using the Beta.

If you save a project using 1.3 (Beta), it becomes a 1.3 project and you can't open it using 1.2, even if it was created in 1.2.

I know that, but like... Ok what I did was, I took the vocals from a song (but that part was answered), and I saved it (this was in the Beta). And then I tried to open it up again, and it said it was saveed using the Beta, but I was opening it up with 1.2, which doesn't even make sense. All I did was open up the saved (in the Beta) project. Make sense?

Did you open the project by double-clicking on the project file in Windows Explorer?

If you have both 1.2 and 1.3 on your machine, Windows may associate .aup files with Audacity 1.2, and will use 1.2 to open them if you double click on them.
Does the project open properly if you launch Audacity 1.3 and then use File > Open in the Audacity menu?

Ok, I saved it, then opened it on a new project, and it worked. Thank you. I'll come back if I'm having any other problems.
