copying cassette

I want to copy music from cassettes to my computer and then to CDs.

I bot a "T2>MP3" converter from 4 Corners and had a problem. (Their little window did not display all it should.) They advise that to make it work I should download software from Audacity. I downloaded 1.3.

Audacity 1.3 gives me a window but it does not seem to recognize a cassette in my T2>MP3 device. What must I do to use it?

I am using Windows Vista Home Premium.

Follow these steps to try and get the computer to recognise the T2 > MP3 device. Those instructions are for a USB turntable but the problem is the same for a USB cassette player. Especially try replacing the USB cable with a USB cable that you know works.

Take the T2 > MP3 back where you got it from if the computer does not recognise it. If you already have a cassette player and a line-in on the computer, all you need is a cable to record your cassettes. See these instructions.
