I need some help please:
I have Windows seven and I am using the Audacity Beta.
and every time I try to play anything or record with an exisiting track I get:
Error while opening sound device. Please check the output device settings and the project sample rate
I tried changing the output device setings and that didn't work.
I don't know where the project sample rate is-
does anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this problem?

Re: Playback issue
You're not alone - Windows 7 gives a lot of people headaches when they try to record.
The usual problem is that Windows 7 usually disables and hides the recording inputs. Check here and ensure that you have the input that you require enabled http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Mixer ... es#vistacp
