Slight static /popping noise

After amplifying songs i recorded, i noticed both on headphones and on burnt CD played on large speakers that there is slight static or some small popping noise in certain parts of the song, hard to explain what exactly im hearing, but its more noticeable when heard on large column speakers, less noticeable on headphones, but i know its still there, if anyone knows what im talking about and how to fix it, that'd be great. + i noticed that even if i change to WAV format the noise slightly dissipates, but can still be heard, another thing i noticed was that when i look at the L and R outputs at the top of the screen the left one goes beyond the blue border and into the red, and the static noise seems to only come from the left side, so im guessing the amplify setting was set too high or something? What could i do to stop this sound from being heard without ruining the bass and volume of the song, (Its techno, so i kinda need to keep the bass :P)

I can imagine what it is.

Where is the song coming from? Are you playing it live on your keyboard or MIDI music system?

Well after i burned a CD with the songs on it, i tried playing it via my CD player, another time would be playing it via my MP3 player after exporting it.
(The songs have been recorded from the internet and mixed with other songs and then amplified using the amplify effect in Audacity)
