Cannot start downloading

I get an error code that says, “Error while opening sound device. Please check the input device settings and the project sample rate.” I don't know what to do. I want to record what i have playing on the internet. I am able to do this at school but not on my computer. Please help me as soon as possible. I have to do a project AT HOME and need this.

Some machines don't lend themselves to easily doing this.

You have to have a valid recording input enabled in the Windows Control Panel.

If you still have problems you will need to say what operating system you are using, what settings you have, and as much other information as may be relevant. Too much information is better than not enough.
